The Cornish Heritage Collection was founded in 1966 and includes the core of the former Holman Museum Collection.

The mine was rediscovered and opened to visitors in 1975. There is nowhere else in Cornwall to take a safe, real and genuine underground mine tour deep below the rural fields of West Cornwall.
