Plastic Fashion

Exhibition at The Museum of Cornish Life

Plastic Fashion aims to address one of the many issues within the fashion industry, mainly the excessive use of materials which are not biodegradable, such as polyesters. The exhibition will explore the move away from natural fibres and towards synthetics within fast fashion and delve into issues such as releasing microfibres into our water systems, the negative effects of producing materials such as polyesters, and our developing throw-away culture. Whilst plastic pollution is currently a hot topic, this exhibition hopes to highlight the often side-lined but related issue of plastic and fashion.
